This policy explains what data Panchangly collects, why, and the controls available to you. We use Google Analytics and Google AdSense, so this policy covers both.

Information we collect

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful — for example, how often the Panchang pages are viewed and from which countries. GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses in reports, and we have not enabled advertising features such as remarketing or user-ID tracking.

Advertising. We show ads through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

What we do not collect. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number, payment details or location beyond what your browser reports to Google as coarse geographic region. There are no user accounts, comments or forms on this site, so we cannot associate any analytics or advertising data with an identified person.

Cookies

Two categories of cookies may be set when you visit:

• Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics, storing a random identifier used to distinguish visits (for example, _ga).
• Advertising cookies set by Google and its AdSense partners, used for ad delivery, frequency capping and (where you have not opted out) ad personalisation.

Your city preference is stored in your own browser’s local storage and is never transmitted to us or to third parties.

Your choices

• You can turn off ads personalisation in Google Ads Settings: google.com/settings/ads. You will still see ads — they will simply not be personalised.
• You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site remains fully functional without them.

Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard request logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) for security and abuse prevention. These logs are not used to profile visitors and are retained only for a short period.

If our use of analytics or advertising changes materially (for example, adding a new provider), we will update this page and revise the date below before the change takes effect.
